The project on the application of remote sensing technologies to environmental enforcement evidence of year 2017.
This project aims at applying historical satellite imagery, as well as images from Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) and LiDAR to monitor environmental pollution. The objective of this project is to apply remote sensing technology to environmental investigation. The evidence of imagery data can be used to enforce the law and to clarify the liability on the damages. 1.The accomplishment of the project this year includes using remote sensing technology (satellite images) for fifteen times on Environmental Protection Administration’s behalf in evidence investigation collection (five times by using the Unmanned Aerial System and once by using the Light Detection and Ranging). The cases include investigating waste disposal and environmental investigation. 2.To introduce the attributes, using timing and updated equipment of remote sensing technology in the “Application of Remote Sensing on Environmental Enforcement Investigation Workshop”. The workshop has improved the capability and professional skills of the investigators.
