Abstract
The action item of this project involves: (1) Promote Low-Carbon and sustainable homeland, (2) Promote the building greening and drop temperature, (3) conduct the advocacy activities of adaptive climate change, and (4) Construct low-carbon and sustainable schoolyard.
I. Promote Low-Carbon and sustainable homeland.
In order to diligence the low-carbon sustainable homeland system, two sessions of "Technology and Information Consulting Conference" have been held this year. The first session was held on September 7 for "Low-carbon and Sustainability Action Competition Primary Selection Conference" so as to select a village representing Taipei City; the second session was held on November 11 for the "The Information Consulting Conference of Taipei City’s Low-Carbon and Sustainable Homeland Action" to consultation the city’s renewable energy and activation land.
The six bronze certified village that need to be audit in this year had all passed the audit in June; Eight units that need to apply for extension this year, including the Silver-certified Taipei City and 7 Bronze-certified villages, have all passed the extension; and all 11 communities subsidized in 107 have also completed tracking and check, and the subsidized projects are preserved in good condition.
In addition, this year subsidized 7 village for helping they add low-carbon facilities. The total new green area is about 86.3m2 or more, the water saving is about 100 t/y, the carbon sequestration is about 34.6 kgCO2e/(m2.yr), and the carbon reduction is 6.33 CO2e/degree.
This year subsidized communities for the guidance and implementation of action projects, including Qunying Vil., Minzhao Vil., Dexing Vil., Mingshan Vil., Dahu Vil., Fujian Vil., and Wanhe Vil., the item of subsidized include green wall, hedge, rainwater recycling system etc.
II. Promote the building greening and drop temperature.
In this year, 10 places in Wanhua District were selected for building greening and drop down temperature promotion; The total newly added greening area are more than 300m2, and the carbon sequestration is about 120 kgCO2e/(m2.yr).
III. Conduct the advocacy activities of adaptive climate change.
Two training courses of climate change adaptation had held this year. The first session was held on June 29 at Mingxing vil., Wenshan District, where the theme of "Water Recycling and Reuse" was handled; the second session was at Taipei Energy Hill 1.0 "Renewable Green Energy and Low Carbon Homeland", there were 63 people participated in the Training Courses.
This year, we had coached 10 villages to get Bronze certification, and 1 village to get Silver certification.
In this year we held 5 observation tour, including 4 bronze certification village in Taipei and one silver certification village in New Taipei City; May 29th in the morning at Dexing village (41 participants), May 29th in the afternoon at Dahu village (53 participants), October 29th Qunying village (48 participants), October 29, Gufeng village (38 participants); October 7th, a cross-county and city observation tour was held in Shuidui village, Wugu District, Silver certification village, New Taipei City, with 63 participants.
IV. Construct low-carbon schoolyard.
In this year, we subsidy Binjiang Elementary School and Xinghua Elementary School. To set demonstration sites of green walls and hedgerows. In total, the newly added green area is more than 550m2 and the carbon sequestration is about 220 kgCO2e/(m2.yr) which can drop down the temperature of building in effect.
