The project has enhanced environmental literacy of the general public. Thanks to join knowledge online contest about environmental education and exchange of experiences about the environmental protect, environmental conservation volunteers are able to show their unity, what they have learned, and how they have grown. The project is consisted of two parts: 2021 Knowledge Online Contest of Environmental Conservation Volunteers and Operations on Social Media (Facebook group EE Friends and LINE official account EEtouching).
From October 28th to December 12th, a total of 5,891 environmental conservation volunteers from 22 counties/cities across Taiwan join 2021 Knowledge Online Contest of Environmental Conservation Volunteers. The online contest including two parts. One part is called environmental conservation volunteers’ challenge which have two level. First level is about environmental education facilities and second level is about environmental protect knowledge. The other part is called environmental memory that to gather pictures with the volunteers’ normal protecting environment day.
From January 8th to December 17th, we have been active on our social media platform, Facebook group EE Friends and LINE official account EEtouching. Across the two platforms, we organized twelve environmental educational events that are related to EPA policies, trending topics, holidays/festivals, and 2021 Knowledge Online Contest of Environmental Conservation Volunteers. During the period, the two platforms welcomed 15,103 new members from different groups of people.
